Firsts

Last night Steve and I finally had the opportunity to go to Town Point Park and watch a movie on the grass. The park has been doing Flicks by the Fountain held every Wednesday night in August. EVERY Wednesday night this August has been cancelled by rain or thunderstorms, last night was the LAST Wednesday of August and it wasn't cancelled. We packed up and headed "downtown" and to enjoy watching Grease while lounging on a blanket. The weather was perfect!

While using my husband as a head rest, I realized we've never done this before! and that got me thinking of the all the "firsts" we've experienced together since marriage. Most couples would possibly have experienced these things while dating. Seeing that Steve and I lived in different countries up until 5 weeks before our wedding it made some "normal" things just not possible. 

A trip to Wal-Mart

Thrift store shopping

Seeing a movie in a theater

Reading in a coffee shop for hours

Going to a bookstore

Walking around a mall 

Cheesecake Factory

Attending a Bible Study

Visiting a place (OBX) that neither one of us had been to

Working out 

Running 

Camping 

Tropical Smoothie Cafe

and tonight will be a another first...a minor league baseball game!

My mother joked before I got married that "She was so conservative she wouldn't let me date until I got married!" 

Steve and I have been happily married for almost 8 weeks and are fully enjoying dating ;)
