28 weeks & a NAME

We've had a busy week! Steve worked crazy hours this week, I had two Dr's appointments, and poor Josiah got diagnosed with another ear infection. Poor guy is having a rough time.

Quick Josiah update - We're going through a challenging time, he is trying SO hard to communicate his wants/wishes and gets frustrated when we don't understand. I'm trying to extend grace and have patience when he gets mad and throws what ever is close. I would be upset too if no one understood me. We're working on not throwing and trying to learn more words. He babbles all the time and you can tell he is "talking" but I don't know the language :) He has started saying a few new words, recently he started call Samson by his name "Simsin" (in a funny high pitch voice, it's adorable!) and "baahs" for balls. He is less baby and more little boy everyday.

Waiting for one of my appointments...Cheerios or Cheddar Bunnies are a life saver.

The crib is up!

How far along? 28 weeks
Total weight gain? Steve tells me I'm beautiful so I'll go with that ;)
Maternity clothes? Yes, I can still wear most of my normal shirts they just get stretched
Stretch marks? Unfortunately, but they aren't horrible
Sleep: Not great, I'm restless at night
Food cravings: Icee Coke
Anything making you queasy or sick? Not really
Miss anything? Margaritas and wine!!!
Gender? Girl!
Labor signs: No but I've started having a few braxton hicks
Have you started to show? Most definitely
Symptoms: Random heartburn and my feet are starting to swell after a long day
Belly Button in or out? Flat, not quite out but not very in anymore
Wedding rings on or off? Off, I'm now wearing a simple band or my Mother's emerald ring
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy
Best Moment this week? Seeing our sweet girl on the ultrasound. She looked great!
Looking forward to anything? Getting her crib and room organized

Big girl weighed in at 2lb 11oz. She is 6oz heavier than average!

I finally got to meet with an obstetrician and discuss a game plan for this little girl's birth. It's looking more like we can wait until 39 weeks unless I go into labor earlier. It's important to avoid laboring since the incision from Josiah's c-section extended (unintentionally) all the way to my back. The Dr's don't want to put any extra strain on my uterus. I'm trying not to dwell on all the things that could go wrong and just be very grateful that we live 5 minutes away from the hospital.

You may have noticed in the crib picture we had a letter up! Yes, we're finally going to share her name.

Little girl's name is...

Noelle Kathryn Haack

We love it and it just fits :)

Noelle means "Christmas or Christ's birth" it's a celebration of Christ's coming to earth.

Kathryn means pure or innocence and it my mother's name. We love having both Josiah's & Noelle's middle names be family names.
