16 months

Our little boy is 16 months today :) He is currently taking a nap which is the only part of the day that the house is quiet. He is always on the go. At his 15 month appointment he weighed 22.3 pounds and was 30 inches tall. The Dr said he looked great and healthy. Unfortunately he developed an ear infection shortly after that appointment. He was pretty cranky for a week, but he is feeling better.

Eating - Peanut butter & jelly are a favorite! Bananas are another big hit. I actually store them where he can't see them or else he points and wants one.

Sleeping - Thankfully through the night but he is an early riser :( 530 is a normal wake up in the Haack house. We're trying to figure out how to get him to sleep later but it's hit or miss. He is taking one nap but it's normally mid-morning because of his early wake up. It makes for a long afternoon.

Activities - He loves crayons and playing on our screened in porch. Since it's so hot I can't handle the heat for too long so our screened in porch is a life saver. He loves being out side and I can sit in the doorway. We try to get to the playground by the house in the mornings before the afternoon heat sets in.

Talking - Newest word is "shoos" (aka shoes) he loves getting them out and asking for us to put on his "shoos". He gets really excited when we get ready and sits by the door waiting for his "shoos"

Here are a bunch of pictures that capture our crazy/active/challenging boy :)

  1. What a big boy! He'll be going to school before you know it. You are doing a great job raising him AND enjoying all these special moments. Can't wait to join you in NC!
