This is my back...
If you noticed it's not very straight. I finally went to a chiropractor this week and was assessed. Conclusion, my lower back needs twice a week adjustments for the next six week. He used a lot of medical terms that honestly I heard but can't remember. I did get that my L3, L4 & L5 are slightly turned toward the right and angled back (not a good thing).
I guess this is what happens when you grow a baby, gain 60 lbs and go through extreme back labor for 29 hours. It didn't help that said baby refused to nurse unless I was holding him while standing in a dark room from 3.5 months until just recently.
I've now thrown my back out twice since November. The last time was 2.5 weeks ago and I ended going to the ER because my back was still in spasm two days later.
What does this have to do with running? Well I had just finished my first week of a half marathon training plan and was feeling great when I threw my back out. I took it easy and ran for the first time a few days ago. Still sore but I thought it was okay. Yay I could keep training! Today I mentioned the running thing and the Dr looked at me like I was crazy. No more running for at least TWO more weeks. I've come to enjoy running (I can't believe I typed that) and it's really frustrating that I won't be able to for another two week. This also means no half marathon in April like I planned.
Thanks for wrecking my body little one...good thing you're cute

Welcome to motherhood- sacrifice your body, sacrifice your heart. Goog thing YOU're so cute. And it's all worth it. BUT... do take of yourself so you can keep playing with the little people- for a long, long time. Cause they grow up and bring home more little people! What a wonderful world.
