With Steve off training in California the days have blended together. I'm always forgetting which day of the week it is. In some ways the 5 1/5 weeks have flown by and in other they have dragged on. Most of the time I'm just grateful that is "only 6 weeks" because it could be a deployment and it's looking like one of those won't be happening anytime soon. I had hoped to use these weeks to get Josiah on a routine, getting some predictable nap times and bedtime. Well half of that worked, bedtime is easier but naps are a whole other story. For a few days he was going down for two 2 hour naps!! Then other days it will take 40 minutes to get him to sleep and then he wakes up 45 minutes later. Those are the days I need this.
Oh my little boy is teaching me patience and reminding me I have little control over things :) Josiah is such a happy baby. He loves to smile and laugh. His favorite thing is for me to make eye contact, look away then quickly look back, he cracks up every time. It's amazing that he is now 5 months old, he'll be crawling before I know it and then I'm really in trouble. He is a ball of energy and it will be crazy keeping up with him.
The weather is getting nice so we can now spend time outside.
This was taken after a failed nap attempt. Josiah is happy as a clam watching Samson.
Josiah loves Samson. It's adorable how excited he gets when Samson walks into the room.
We went to the beach this month. Josiah has already been to the beach several times but this was the first time that he was really aware of things.
The verdict, the ocean is loud and a little scary he isn't so sure about the beach.
Nice thing about October this year is Steve will be home! We're looking forward to being together again and getting to enjoy fall in North Carolina. I can't wait to get mums and pumpkins for the porch. Bring on the fall decorations!
