Oh so innocent looking.
We consider Samson our first child. We love him dearly and he brings lots of entertainment and joy to our lives. It's a very good thing that we feel this way because this week he has done this...
The corner of our brand new comforter.
The hem of my wedding dress!
He has now been banned from our bedroom & closet when we are not home to supervise him. He isn't always destructive (thank goodness!) but this week he made up for it.
PS - the reason the wedding dress was so accessible was because after two years I still haven't had it dry cleaned or preserved so I brought it out of the bag, one to see if it still fits (tight but it zipped!) and two to remind me to find a dry cleaner. It was out of the bag all of one afternoon before he found it :(
You can fix the comforter...buy some matching embroidry thread and google "whip stitch". It will always be a reminder but it won't be white!
ReplyDeleteAnd for the dress.... the only person small enough to wear that dress will be my granddaughters! :) And it zipped! Victory over ice cream!
Don't worry about the dress hem, it just makes it all the more of an authentic "heirloom". Now we just need to pray that you'll have a sentimental daughter :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping for one! If you end up with one who can't fit into your teeny one, she can try mine!
