What a week

It has been quite an eventful week...
*Monday started normally with me feeling much better and my jaw-line reappearing.
*Tuesday I felt up for driving over to base to watch Steve's flag football game; he plays on a team with Marine's that he works with. All was good until Steve (who was playing safety) jumped up to make an interception (he made the play), came down and had a fellow teammate and the receiver break their fall on HIS ankle!  He "walked" off the field but then ice and ibuprofen were followed by a drive to the emergency room at the military clinic up the road. After hours of being wheeled around in a wheelchair, more ice, and x-rays.... it is fractured.
*Wednesday was another day in the hospital, more x-rays, and a hard splint for two weeks. Pray that he doesn't need surgery to put a screw in. Once the inflammation goes down he will get a normal cast. On our way home from the hospital we received a text from my cousin asking us to pray for my Uncle Bill who was taken to the hospital for heart failure!
*Thursday Steve attempted to go into work but they sent him home for the rest of the week. *Friday my mother was able to come for a long planned visit! It was great to have her around. Mom and I were able to visit my family at the hospital where my uncle is (things are getting better but its still a very scary situation).
*Saturday was spent with my mom, going to a movie and showing her around Norfolk. After she headed back to Manassas, Steve and I had a long nap to recover from our full week.
*Sunday was thankfully a true sabbath, spent relaxing and fellowship/watching football with another couple...BEARS victory!

We're are quite the duo right now, I'm just getting better and almost normal and Steve goes and fractures his ankle :)
