Thou Shalt Grow: Josiah

Our little boy is two! People talk about the "terrible two's" and it's SO true, this is a tough age. I can easily say that raising this boy has been one of the biggest challenges of my life.

Weight & Height - His appointment got rescheduled for next week :( Update - 27 lbs 14 oz and 34 inches tall

Sleep - Happy to say he sleeps pretty much 12-13 hours a night and usually takes one nap. The nap is becoming shorter and he fights them but he still needs one or else he is super cranky by bedtime. Our night time routine is pretty set - bath, pj's, read a few stories, turn of the light, sing Silent Night (not sure why but we've always sang Christmas carols putting him to sleep) and then bedtime. He sleeps with five stuffed animals, three big blankets, and two small blankies every night. It's a full crib!

Food - Favorite food is peanut butter! Staples are yogurt, peanut butter, waffles, toast, crackers, grapes, apple sauce, cream cheese, cheese and hot dogs. He is pretty picky and doesn't like to try new things. He demolished a bowl of strawberries last night so I'm still offering new things and hoping he likes something.

Favorite Actives
- hanging off the table and swinging his feet up
- jumping off anything and everything
- throwing balls, he has pretty good aim

Josiah is SUPER active, he loves to run around outside and go to the "side" (aka slide) at the playground. He has been very attached lately and insists that I be part of whatever activity he is doing. He likes to color and draw with chalk. He also enjoys watching shows on Netflix together. He likes Magic School Bus, Super Why, a Cars video and Thomas the Train. In the morning while Noelle is taking her nap we'll watch a show or two and he will snuggle with me on the couch. It's the only time of day that he actually wants to be cuddled :)

Favorite toy - anything Thomas the Train or car related. He has mini construction vehicles that he loves.

Favorite book - Chugga Chugga Choo Choo (he likes to do the "choo choo" part of the story) and the Little Blue Truck books

Favorite words - "Oh no!"If he drops something or find something out of place he throws his hands up in the air and says "Oh no!". It's hilarious. He doesn't talk in full sentences yet but he is learning more and more words.
