It's hot here in North Carolina. Yesterday it was high 90's but with the humidity it felt over 100!! Normally I would be in the pool or drinking something ice cold and just enjoy the sun but with a baby it's not that easy. Steve and I had a very relaxed Fourth, we took naps and spent most of the day inside away from the heat. Later in the evening we ventured out to friend's BBQ but we were armed with ice packs for the baby if it got to hot. My next baby purchase is going to be a battery operated fan. Little man gets hot quickly :( The original plan was to go after Josiah's feeding and have him nap in our friend's cool house. I should remember I can't plan things anymore. He wouldn't fall asleep in the house in his comfortable bassinet. He finally fell asleep...in my lap, such a momma's boy :)
Family picture time...still passed out
We hung out with our friend's for a little bit and then headed home. No fireworks for us this year. It was just too muggy and Josiah went down for the night about 30 minutes before the fireworks started. Steve and I enjoyed a quiet evening by watching a movie.
Happy Fourth of July!
