The title says it all. My mom drove her huge truck and camper out to North Carolina from South Dakota to attend a baby shower and hang out with me before Steve comes home. It was wonderful. We had so much fun and I'm truly blessed to have her as a mother.
We drove to Manassas, Virginia for a wonderful baby shower (more on that in another post) and a fun Ikea trip. I love that store. Lots of baby shopping.
The only picture of us at the shower...we're horrible about getting pictures together!
Back in NC, she was a huge help sorting and organizing all the wonderful things people gave us. We had fun wasting time on the internet and working on baby projects. She did not get as much writing in as she hoped but I appreciated all the time with her.
Nursery in progress, Mom blessed us with the rocker
The crib arrived and we had fun putting it together and making a crib skirt
She is amazing! Sanding the dresser for Josiah's room
It was not all work, we went to Wilmington for a day of thrift store shopping and yummy food.
Indochine - Thai & Vietnamese cuisine
We asked the waitress to take a picture
A trip to North Carolina would not be complete without visiting the beach. My mom is a mountain girl but I love the beach.
Beautiful even in February
Using the timer on the camera, it was so windy!
My Mom left yesterday and will be visiting friends and family on the east coast until closer to my due date. I love her and I'm so grateful for the example she has given me as I enter into motherhood.
