What to do on a snow day....
The past week the weather channels have been saying that we could be getting up to 8 inches of snow this weekend. I was in disbelief and stated several times that I would believe it when I saw it. I was awakened this morning at 740am by Steve telling there was snow outside, and I told him if he was tricking me out of the warm bed he would be in big trouble if there was not snow on the ground. I looked out the window and was greeted with a winter wonderland! On a normal Saturday morning I wouldn't get out of bed until at least 10am (okay maybe even later), but this morning the snow was like caffeine. I could not fall back to sleep. I had to go outside and experience my favorite part of snow...the stillness and quiet of it falling to the ground :) Because of this burst of energy I have sorted a huge box of old college papers and notes, organized our small album collection and photos, and vacuumed the house all before 11am!

There's something about snowdays that you get so much accomplished of things that have just been waiting for your attention, lol....I love snow days just because of that :-)
ReplyDeleteHmmm- You ARE my daughter.... and yet all I can do is EAT when it snows! I'm so not productive in this weather. Maybe if it snowed in the summer when my "work hard" chemicals have kicked in..... :)
ReplyDeleteBut it is so very beautiful- so I'm compelled to sit and watch the winter wonderland. With a cookie.
