What to do on a snow day....

The past week the weather channels have been saying that we could be getting up to 8 inches of snow this weekend. I was in disbelief and stated several times that I would believe it when I saw it. I was awakened this morning at 740am by Steve telling there was snow outside, and I told him if he was tricking me out of the warm bed he would be in big trouble if there was not snow on the ground. I looked out the window and was greeted with a winter wonderland! On a normal Saturday morning I wouldn't get out of bed until at least 10am (okay maybe even later), but this morning the snow was like caffeine. I could not fall back to sleep. I had to go outside and experience my favorite part of snow...the stillness and quiet of it falling to the ground :) Because of this burst of energy I have sorted a huge box of old college papers and notes, organized our small album collection and photos, and vacuumed the house all before 11am!

Our first snow in Norfolk :)

  1. There's something about snowdays that you get so much accomplished of things that have just been waiting for your attention, lol....I love snow days just because of that :-)

  2. Hmmm- You ARE my daughter.... and yet all I can do is EAT when it snows! I'm so not productive in this weather. Maybe if it snowed in the summer when my "work hard" chemicals have kicked in..... :)
But it is so very beautiful- so I'm compelled to sit and watch the winter wonderland. With a cookie.
