Norfolk doesn't experience snow but it does experience RAIN! Crazy amounts of rain. We are currently enjoying the November Nor'easter. This is a phenomena is a large storm that only appears on the East Coast (joy!). Its a low pressure storm that causes lots of flooding and can have hurricane force winds. The difference between a Nor'easter and a cyclone is that this bugger thrives off of cold wind...which means its cold, rainy, and grey! This sucker also has caused the Virginia Governor to put Virginia is a state of emergency. But the silver lining to this grey rain cloud is that Steve got sent home for the day! We decided to venture out and see what the rain was doing in our neighborhood. Our neighborhood juts out into the Lafayette River and is basically surrounded by water on three sides.
There is a road under that water
The Street is straight in front of us and the water is probably a foot and half deep!
Fortunately this tree did not fall on a house
